Get to Know Me...

Kellie Falconer is/was hosting a blog party, as she does every year, over at her amazing blog: KellieFalconer.Blogspot.com

I was too late to join, but I thought I'd answer the questions anyhow, to get my blog off to a good start :)

~
  1. Introduce yourself! Divulge your life's vision, likes, dislikes, aspirations, or something completely random! Hello! My Name is Susannah (Sue). I am a born again Christian and my life goal is to do God's will for me. I enjoy drawing/painting, playing the piano, writing, baking, Disney, the outdoors, rain, animals, reading God's word (The Holy Bible),  and spending time with my family. I home school, along with my Brother, and my Sister graduated a few years ago. I don't like to be cold, because I get cold so easily and so often. I don't like coffee, and I prefer dark chocolate over milk and white.
  2. What, to you, forms the essence of a true heroine? Someone who knows the right thing to do and gets it done. Who has faults, but their good qualities over shine them. Who, when in a jam, is not afraid or too proud to ask for help.
  3. Share (up to) four heroines of literature that you most admire and relate to. Emma Woodhouse/Knightly, Lizzy Bennett/Darcy , and Marianne Dashwood/Brandon (yep, they're all Jane Austen)
  4. Five of your favorite historical novels? (Well, since this blog is more of a movie blog, (and I haven't read very many historical novels) I am going to change this to "Historical Films") I'm not sure if these are my top picks, but here are some that come to mind: The Sound of Music, Gone With the Wind, The Adventures of Robin Hood, The Ten Commandments, and Emma 2009
  5. Out of those five "books"(films) who is your favorite major character and why? Emma. Because, we both love art, music, walking, dancing, etc. She has her faults, but her good qualities over shine them like a true heroine.
  6. Out of those five "books"(films) who is your favorite secondary character and why? Mr. Knightly (Yes, Emma again. It might be my favorite movie!) Because he's charming, kind, caring, etc.
  7. If you were to plan out your dream vacation, where would you travel to - and what would you plan to do there? Australia or Disneyland, and I have boards for them :) https://www.pinterest.com/sueandsarah/destination-australia/ --- https://www.pinterest.com/sueandsarah/disney-worldsomeday/ --- (I also want to go to Ireland)
  8. What is your favorite time period and culture to "read about"(watch)? 50's, 20's, and 60's America, and late 1700's England. I also enjoy a good "Bible days" movie.
  9. You have been invited to perform at the local charity concert. Singing, comedy, recitation, tap dancing… what is your act comprised of?  Probably playing the piano. But that doesn't sound like something I'd do.
  10. If you were to attend a party where each guest was to portray a heroine of literature, who would you select to represent? Perhaps Marianne
  11. Favorite author(s)? Hmmm... Can't possibly choose!
  12. In which century "were most of the books you read written" (were most of the movies you've watch made in)? 40's and 50's. Not sure out of those.
  13. In your opinion, the ultimate hero in all literature is… Mr. Knightly
  14. In your opinion, the most dastardly villain of all "literature"(movies) is... Maybe, Mr. Potter or Eve (from All About Eve)
  15. Describe your ideal dwelling place. Well, I have several: 1. A beautiful tree house in the middle of a tropical rain forest. 2. A pretty stone, country cottage, with vines and a white picket fence. 3. A stately mansion ;)
  16. Sum up your fashion style in a short sentence. Casual, girly, charming, retro, and classic. (the last three are what I'm trying to make it ;))
  17. Three favorite Non-fiction books? The Holy Bible, and two awesome books I am currently reading are, "Will This Generation Speak" and "Making Brothers and Sisters Best Friends."
  18. Your duties met for the day, how would you choose to spend a carefree summer afternoon? Watching a movie with my family, inviting some friends over, or a nice run on the trails through the woods. Or, if a good one is showing, go to the movies ;)
  19. Create a verbal sketch of your dream hat - in such a way as will best portray your true character. Well I've always wanted a silk top hat; one that will pop up and down. I also love flowers, so a hat like this, from Easter Parade, would be perfect ;) (I'd absolutely love it, but I doubt I'd actually wear it ;P)
  20. Share the most significant event(s) that have marked your life in the past year. Are we talking about 2014? O.K. then. Well, I turned 16(!!!! Big year).
  21. Share the Bible passage(s) that have been most inspiring to you recently. Well, (yes, I say "well" a lot in writing) Ephesians 6:16 KJV has been showing up in places a lot lately. Also, before that I had been memorizing Ephesians 6:10-20 KJV and quoting it everyday. Which brings to mind: Hebrews 11:1 KJV
I had a lot of fun doing this, and hope to post often in the future :)
To conclude this post, I just want to say, Welcome to my blog,
Enjoy!
